More and more homebuilders are turning to metal framing. Fluctuating wood prices, diminishing wood quality and continued tool and engineering have continued to sway more builders toward metal framing. Some builders have made the leap to framing the entire home with metal framing. In both cases, metal is impervious to termites.
There is no expansion or contraction which will eliminate "nail pops". The use of metal is more economical than wood because the holes are pre-drilled for the electrical wiring, they are lighter and easier to handle. This is incorporated into the estimates that Liberty General Contractors provide to our customers for a lower project cost.
